Horse Safety Is Everything

We built Pines to Palms around one principle: your horse should arrive exactly as healthy and calm as when it left.

01

Experienced, Horse-Savvy Drivers

Our drivers aren't just licensed haulers — they're horse people who understand equine behavior, stress signals, and how to handle unexpected situations on the road.

02

Stock Trailers Built for Comfort

Open-slat ventilation, communal spacing, and freedom of movement make our stock trailers ideal for long-haul transport. Horses arrive calmer and less stressed.

03

Hay, Water & Rest Stops Included

Every trip includes fresh hay and clean water. On longer hauls, we schedule rest stops to allow horses to relax, drink, and eat without rush.

04

Clear Communication

You'll know where your horse is. We check in at key points along the route and let you know immediately if anything changes — no silence, no guessing.

05

Document Verification

We verify Coggins tests and health certificates before loading. Interstate transport requires proper documentation — we make sure you're covered.

06

Weather-Aware Routing

We monitor forecasts along your route and adjust proactively. Safety always comes before schedule — we'll reroute or reschedule rather than risk your horse.

East Coast,
Start to Finish

We cover all 18 East Coast states — from the pine forests of Maine down to the palm-lined coasts of Florida.

Stock Trailers,
Inside and Out

We exclusively use stock trailers — and for good reason. Here's what makes them the right choice for most horses.

Superior Ventilation

Open-slat sidewalls allow constant airflow, reducing respiratory stress and keeping horses cooler — especially important on long hauls.

Freedom of Movement

Horses can lower their heads, adjust their balance naturally, and shift position — this reduces muscle fatigue on longer trips.

Social Travel Option

Horses that know each other can travel together, reducing anxiety. Familiar companions make for calmer, smoother trips.

Spacious Interior

More room per horse than slant-load or straight-load trailers. Less crowding means less stress and fewer injuries in transit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Our AI assistant is available 24/7 in the bottom-right corner.

What documents does my horse need for transport?
+
A current negative Coggins test (EIA test) and a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days of transport are required for interstate travel. Requirements can vary slightly by state — contact us if you're unsure what's needed for your specific route.
How long will transport take?
+
Transit time depends on distance. Short hauls under 200 miles are typically same-day (3–5 hours). Trips of 200–500 miles may be same-day or overnight. Longer hauls (500–1,500+ miles) take 1–3 days with rest, water, and hay breaks built in. We prioritize your horse's wellbeing over speed.
Can mares and geldings travel together?
+
Yes — in most cases mares and geldings travel together without issue in our stock trailers. We do not transport stallions together with mares. If your horse is a stallion, please let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
How much does transport cost?
+
Our rates are approximately $2.50–$3.50 per mile with a $300 minimum per trip. For routes with required layovers, a $50/horse/day care fee applies. Use our AI assistant (bottom right) to get a rough estimate for your specific route, or call us for an exact quote.
What should I do to prepare my horse?
+
Have your Coggins and health certificate ready. Withhold grain 2–3 hours before loading but keep hay available. Leg wraps or shipping boots are recommended. Let us know of any behavioral quirks, medical conditions, or special needs in advance. We'll provide hay and water throughout the journey.
What happens in bad weather?
+
We monitor weather forecasts actively along your route. In cases of severe weather — ice storms, hurricanes, dangerous road conditions — we may delay or reroute. You'll always be notified immediately. We will never risk your horse's safety for the sake of schedule.
Do you offer emergency transport?
+
Yes. For emergencies — injury, colic, evacuation — please call us directly at (508) 570-1887. Our emergency line is available outside regular hours. We'll do everything possible to respond quickly.
